Institutional meeting between the Council and the new State Agency for Public Policy Evaluation

Meeting between the president of the new Public Policy Evaluation Agency, Milagros Paniagua, and the president of the Transparency Council, Concepción Campos

The president of the Council of Transparency and Good Government, Concepción Campos, held yesterday the first institutional meeting with the director of the new State Agency for Evaluation of Public Policies (AEEPP), Milagros Paniagua. During the meeting, both leaders said its interest in collaborating in order to assess the advisability of reviewing and updating the MESTA methodology, used by the Council to assess compliance with the active publicity obligations of public and private entities.

This methodology was developed in 2016 by the Council and the defunct State Agency for the Evaluation of Public Policies and Quality of Services (AEVAL), and we now want to jointly assess its possible updating and optimization, with the experience accumulated over more than a decade in which the transparency portals of hundreds of public and private entities have been evaluated.

The meeting, in which AEEPP’s Chief of Staff, Clara Eugenia García García, also participated, is also part of the CTBG’s desire to strengthen ties with organizations that share objectives of improving public management and accountability to citizens.
