The heads of the two institutions agreed on the need to collaborate to face the challenges that the Administration has in relation to algorithmic transparency, and for it to be able to give an effective response to requests for information on this subject, whose demand has increased significantly in recent years.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of AESIA, in A Coruña, takes place when Article 50 of the European Artificial Intelligence Regulation, which establishes new transparency obligations to protect the rights of people, has just entered into force on August 2.
The meeting served to align different ways of collaborating to share knowledge, experiences and best practices in this field and to promote initiatives that contribute to improving transparency, accountability and understanding of the systems based on algorithms and AI used by administrations and public bodies for decision-making.
