Yesterday, September 21, 2021, the Committee on Transparency and Good Governance appointed by the Council of Ministers on April 27 of the same year held its third meeting since it was formally constituted.
The Commission is the collegiate body of the Council of Transparency and Good Governance and has, among others, the function of advising on transparency, access to public information and good governance, as well as proposing guidelines, practices, activities, meetings, and collaboration mechanisms on transparency, access to public information and good governance.
At yesterday’s meeting, the main activities of the Council during the month since the previous session of 29 June 2021 were examined, as well as the initiatives formulated by civil society organizations and other participants in the public information process of the Strategic Plan 2022-2025.
At the initiative of the Commission Members, a representative of the General Secretariat of European Funds of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function was invited to make a presentation of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan approved by the Government, and the main issues related to the control of the investments contemplated in the Plan and financed from the Next Generation Funds of the European Union were analyzed. The Commission agreed to recommend to the executive that as much information as possible on the management and destination of funds should be proactively published on the relevant official websites.
