The Council of Transparency and Good Governance has published its Memory of Activities 2022, a document that reflects the activity of the Council and the results obtained throughout the year 2022.
The year 2022 has been a year of evolution and transformation. The CTBG, in order to realize its Mission and Vision, has addressed complex internal transformation challenges, the results of which are positive, and has deployed the lines of action set out in its Strategic Plan for the period 2022-2025.
The report contains an orderly and detailed account of all the activities carried out during the year 2022, in which 2,369 cases were processed, of which the vast majority (88%) were complaints submitted under article 24 of the Transparency, Access to Information and Good Governance Act (LTAIBG). It also highlights the promotion of the function of evaluating compliance with the transparency obligations imposed by the LTAIBG, as well as other activities of promotion, advice and cooperation in fulfilment of the functions entrusted to the CTBG.
In terms of its material and human resources, there have been significant variations, being relevant the increase of its budget during this year that has gone from 2.39 million euros in 2021 to 3 million euros in 2022. The increase in staff, in 7 jobs, and a process of renovation of the electronic headquarters and implementation of a comprehensive management platform to support the electronic processing of procedures and actions, have allowed an important step in the modernization, efficiency and more efficient use of CTBG resources, which undoubtedly results in the purpose of this Authority.
