This competence covers the claims filed against the resolutions on requests for access to public information issued by the Administration of the Autonomous Community and the entities of its public sector and by the local entities of its territorial scope.

La Extension of the Convention It has been published in BOE on October 19th. The first agreement in this matter between the CTBG and La Rioja was signed in 2016.

The fourth additional provision of the LTAIBG establishes that the resolution of claims on the right of access to information shall be the responsibility of the independent body determined by the autonomous communities in the cases of resolutions issued by the autonomous administrations and their public sector, and by the local entities within their territorial scope. The law provides for the possibility for the autonomous communities to attribute to the Council of Transparency and Good Government the competence for the resolution of these claims, through the conclusion of the corresponding agreement.

In 2023, the Council of Transparency and Good Governance resolved a total of 1,090 claims at regional and local level, which was 66.4% more than the previous year. A total of 56 claims were within the scope of La Rioja.
