The interested persons, upon registration by email, will be able to know how the Transparency Council works, an independent state authority that ensures transparency and the safeguarding of the right of access to public information, essential for accountability and citizen participation in public affairs.
They will learn what this right consists of, how to exercise it and the functions that the Council develops to protect it, as well as the work it does to monitor whether the entities comply with their obligations of active publicity, that is, whether they publish the necessary information so that the citizens can control their management, such as their budgets and annual accounts, the contracts they sign, the subsidies they grant, the remuneration and professional trajectories of their managers, etc.
The Deputy Director General of Transparency and Good Governance, Gonzalo Gómez de Villalobos, the Deputy Director General of Claims of Autonomous Communities and Local Entities, José Manuel Jover Lorente, and the Secretary General of the Council, Isabel Lombardero Lasarte, will speak.
