The President brought to the attention of the Ombudsman, among other matters, an issue that she considers to be of particular relevance: high percentage of complaints filed with the Council for administrative silence. The data of the claims resolved by the independent authority in 2025 are significant: 45.5% of the claims at state level and 75.3% of those at regional and local level originate from the lack of response of the administrations to the public information requests of the citizens. Possible lines of work were examined to try to reverse this situation and for the administrations to respond in time to the citizens, in compliance with their legal obligations.
The meeting, the first between the two institutions since Campos took office, also addressed the renewal of the voice of the Ombudsman in the Transparency and Good Government Commission, a consultative collegiate body with executive functions of the CTBG, in which other organs and institutions of the State are represented.
