Appeal by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality against granting access to information relating to the drug "Truvada"
ABSTRACT
A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality to access the evolution of the number of containers, DHD (daily living dose) and CTD (daily cost of treatment) in containers and evolution of the amount of the drug "Truvada", by year, from 2000 to today.
The Ministry refused access on the understanding that there was a detriment to the economic and commercial interests of the laboratories.
The Council of Transparency and Good Governance considered the complaint, since this damage is not proven, since information is requested on the cost to the Administration of the daily treatment of each final consumer in that period of time, which in no way affects the economic or commercial sphere of the manufacturing laboratories and distributors.
