152. Denial of access to the agreements of the Teatro Real Foundation.
SUMMARY
A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Royal Theatre to learn about the content of the collaboration agreement with the NCPA of Beijing and the agreement to incorporate the Theatre into the International League of Silk Road Theatres.
The Teatro Real denied this request on the understanding that giving the information may put their economic and commercial interests at risk.
When a complaint was filed, the Council of Transparency and Good Government dismissed it as this risk was sufficiently accredited to commercial interests, specifically because it had to reveal its artistic strategy, given that the Teatro Real competes with private entities in the same sector of activity.
