SUMMARY

The request for information, addressed to the National Currency and Stamp Factory (FNMT), was aimed at knowing the salary of the management staff of the National Currency and Stamp Factory (FNMT) as well as the salary increase that had occurred since 2017.

The FNMT refused to grant the information because it understood that the applicant, being a union delegate, had other ways than the Transparency Act to obtain the information.

The Council of Transparency and Good Governance, on the basis of jurisprudence that understood that trade unions could request information based on the Transparency Law and in accordance with its interpretative criterion No. 1/2015 on the remuneration of public employees, estimated the claim.
