SUMMARY

A citizen submitted a request for access to the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) to learn about the publication of a book whose author is the claimant herself.

The Administration replied indicating that it was not aware of the publication of the book.

When a complaint was filed, the Council of Transparency and Good Governance rejected it, since the complainant raises an entirely particular issue that is not in keeping with the purpose of the transparency law. In other words, in our opinion, these are problems related to copyright, intellectual property, etc. Consequently, the claimant must use the legal channels provided for, in order to defend the rights that it considers violated and to claim the damages that may have been caused.
