A citizen submitted a request for information to the Ministry of Finance and Public Function to know the breakdown of the financial assets of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, with the list of companies in which he has shares.
The Administration provided information that the applicant considered insufficient, which motivated his claim.
When the complaint was filed, the Council for Transparency and Good Governance considered it since the Supreme Court, in a recent Judgment of 7 February 2022 (ECLI:ES:TS:2022:483), recognized the right of access to information regarding the identification of senior officials who had not complied with the obligations provided for in Law 3/2015 and who had been included in the report that the Office of Conflicts of Interest has to submit biannually to the Government for subsequent referral to the Congress of Deputies, establishing a doctrine that is directly transferable to the case in hand.
