Resolution appealed: R CTBG 1287/2024
In exercise of the right of access to public information, the MINISTRY OF HEALTH was requested to access information on various aspects related to the situation posed by the health crisis that occurred as a result of the outbreak of the virus called Covid19, in particular, contracts with pharmaceutical companies for the acquisition of vaccines, epidemiological data, as well as technical and research reports on antigen tests and vaccines.
The requested ministry, through the General Directorate of Public Health and Health Equity, resolves to provide a link in which the last 5 situation reports are available until June 30, 2023, and noting that the remaining documents can be accessed through the search engine.
Information is also provided on the scientific basis of the covid19 tests, the protocols of action and the serological tests carried out to detect antibodies. It is noted that the vast majority of microbiology laboratories, belonging to the National Health System, carry out and have carried out diagnostic tests for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The Council dismisses the complaint by pointing out that the Ministry has provided reasonable and sufficient information on the issues raised which serve to ascertain the mode of action and the decisions taken in this matter. Not only has it reported on the various aspects contained in the request made, but it has facilitated the links that specifically direct to the information requested, as allowed by Article 22.3 LTAIBG.
