154. Denial of access to information on jobs occupied in a penitentiary centre
SUMMARY
A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Ministry of the Interior to obtain information on the jobs occupied, without merit, by two officials, in the penitentiary center of Valencia.
The Administration denied the information on the grounds that it violated the protection of personal data of officials working in penitentiary institutions.
When a complaint was filed, the Council of Transparency and Good Governance considered it since the alleged damages are not appreciated, since they are data on the public activity of the requested body, prevailing the right of access to information versus the protection of personal data, the claimant being the one who provides the data of the ID of those affected, not the Administration.
