SUMMARY

A citizen requests to Radio Televisión Madrid (RTVM) a copy of the declaration of assets, interests and tax information of the president of the Board of Directors of Radio Televisión Madrid S.A.U., presented from his appointment to the present day. It also requests a copy of the agreement or legal instrument, under which the President of the Board of Directors of Radio Televisión Madrid S.A.U., assumes the function of resolving citizen information requests made under the Transparency Act.

Dissatisfied with the response received, the interested party presents a complaint to the Council of Transparency and Good Governance in December 2019.

Having studied the dossier by the Council, the Council considers the complaint raised because it considers that the information requested is relevant to guarantee the common interest in knowing public performance, being able to participate in it and demand accountability for the decisions of public bodies.

Faced with the resolution issued, RTVM interposes a contentious-administrative appeal that has entry into the Council of Transparency and Good Governance on September 11, 2020.
