A citizen asked the City of Villamediana de Iregua (La Rioja) for a copy of the minutes of the meetings of the Plenary and the Local Government Board of that city during the legislature from 2019 to 2023.
In the absence of a response from the administration, in June 2022 the citizen filed a complaint with the Council of Transparency and Good Governance (CTBG).
The CTBG estimates the claim since it is public information according to Law 19/2013, of December 9, on transparency, access to public information and good governance (LTAIBG), and does not consider any legal limit or any cause of inadmissibility to apply.
In response to the resolution issued by the CTBG, the City Council lodged a contentious-administrative appeal which entered the Council on July 3, 2023.
