A citizen asked the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Extremadura for a series of information related to the inspections of livestock and agricultural holdings in order to verify compliance with the rules derived from the European Water Framework Directive and the Nitrates Directive.
In the absence of a response, the claimant filed a complaint with the Transparency and Good Governance Council (CTBG) in January 2024.
The CTBG considers the claim for formal reasons since the public information requested was provided once the claim was filed, having been necessary to submit a claim to this Council to see its right fully recognized.
In response to the decision handed down by the CTBG, the requested entity lodged an administrative appeal with the Administrative Litigation Division of the National High Court, which entered the Council on September 2, 2024.
