The meeting, which served to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions, shared information on the work that the two agencies do in their respective countries to guarantee the right of access to public information and to supervise the transparency obligations of public entities. The legal framework that regulates the configuration and operation of independent transparency guarantee bodies in Spain and Mexico was also analyzed.
El State Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data of the State of Nuevo León It is an autonomous, independent and collegiate body that has the function of guaranteeing, within the scope of its competence, the exercise of rights of access to information and the protection of personal data. It is also responsible for ensuring that the obligated subjects comply with the provisions of the Law on Transparency and Access to Public Information of the State of Nuevo León. The INFONL has the power to sanction financially, and by legal provision, the obligated subjects who violate the law of the matter.
