The Council of Transparency and Good Governance (CTBG) has just published the report on the review of compliance with the obligations of active publicity of the General Administration of the State (AGE) through its Transparency Portal. The report shows that in 2024 the compliance index of the active transparency of the Portal is located in the 85.6%, which means one 4.6 point improvement Percentages compared to the evaluation carried out last year.
This improvement in the Mandatory Information Compliance Index comes after the Transparency Portal, which is under the authority of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service through the General Directorate of Public Governance (State Secretariat for the Civil Service), has implemented half of the recommendations made to it by the Transparency Council in its assessment of 2023.
In its evaluation work, the Council, an independent administrative authority responsible for ensuring transparency and access to public information in Spain, carries out an exhaustive review of the contents published in the Transparency Portal in order to verify that all ministries comply with their obligations of active publicity, that is, that they publish the relevant information to control their management to which they are obliged by Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on transparency, access to public information and good governance (LTAIBG).
