The President of the Council for Transparency and Good Governance, Ms. Concepción Campos Acuña, appeared today before the Finance and Public Service Committee of the Congress of Deputies to present the Reports of Activities corresponding to the 2024 and 2025 financial years.
During the hearing, the main results of the activity carried out by the Council in terms of transparency, access to public information and good governance were presented.
Among other data, the memories reflect:
- A significant increase in the number of complaints filed with the Council.
- The strengthening of the activity evaluating compliance with transparency obligations.
- The consolidation of new lines of institutional cooperation, both nationally and internationally.
- The promotion of dissemination, training and awareness-raising activities in the field of transparency.
During the session, the current situation of increasing the number of complaints has also been raised, as well as the need to strengthen personal and material means to guarantee the effectiveness of the right of access to information.
The appearance is an exercise of accountability on the activity carried out by the institution and on the main challenges posed by the consolidation of the right of access to public information in Spain.
