Appeal against refusal of access to information relating to the list of correspondence from a Penitentiary Centre
A citizen submitted a request for access to the information addressed to the Ministry of the Interior to access the list of all the correspondence sent and received during his stay at the Madrid VI Penitentiary Center.
The Ministry did not respond to the request.
The Council of Transparency and Good Governance rejected the complaint, since the request is not in accordance with the purpose of the transparency law to control the action of public institutions, but is aimed at a mere private interest, to whose satisfaction there are other channels relating to the control of the quality of public services provided.
