SUMMARY

The Company Committee of the EFE Agency submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Agency itself to know the status, since 2012, of expenses and income, contracts, salaries and other information related to the economic-financial situation of the company.

The EFE Agency provided some of the information denying the rest for affecting the economic and commercial interests of the company, the confidentiality of certain information, the protection of personal data and for having to expressly elaborate part of the requested.

When a complaint was filed, the Council of Transparency and Good Government dismissed it, considering it an abusive claim for not seeking the purpose of public control that the transparency law seeks, but the use of this rule to make effective the work of union control outside the regulations authorized for it.
