SUMMARY

A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Spanish Radio Television Corporation (RTVE) to access a copy of the contract signed in relation to the program: "How do you see it?" Specifically, it requested a copy of the contracts of the production company and its presenters and collaborators, as well as their total cost.

RTVE denied the information because, according to the Corporation, giving the information endangers their economic and commercial interests and infringes the right to personal data protection.

When the complaint was filed, the Council for Transparency and Good Governance considered it because we are not dealing with a trade secret, nor are prices or methods of cost evaluation harmed. Nor does it affect the protection of personal data because there is a law that allows its disclosure (article 8 of the transparency law), according to Report 0178/2014, of the Spanish Agency for Data Protection.
