The delegation of the Council for Transparency of Chile, composed of the councilor María Jaraquemada Hederra, the general director, David Ibaceta Medina, the legal director, Ana María Muñoz, the head of Analysis and Legal and Judicial Strategy, Ricardo Cáceres Palacios, and the head of Institutional Relations and Promotion, Christian Anker, was received by the president of the Council for Transparency and Good Government, José Luis Rodríguez Álvarez. The Deputy Director General of Transparency and Good Governance, Gonzalo Gómez de Villalobos and the Deputy Director General of Claims, Marta Timón Herrero, also participated in the meeting.
El Council for Transparency (CPLT) of Chile, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary, is an autonomous corporation, in public law, with its own legal personality, whose main task is to ensure the proper compliance with the Law on Transparency of the Public Service and Access to Information of the State Administration, promulgated on August 20, 2008. To this end, among other functions, it monitors public agencies, resolves complaints when people feel that their right of access to information has been violated and promotes awareness in the public sector and among citizens about the importance of transparency and the right of access to public information.
