The web portal of the Council of Transparency, which is the main channel of information for citizens on the activity carried out by the institution, had been designed in 2015, when the Council began its work, and now the Plan of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience (PRTR) has offered an opportunity to renew it in collaboration with the State Agency of Digital Administration (Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function), with which the Council has signed an agreement. agreement for the use of technological solutions and means, including the maintenance and administration of your website.
The project to renew the Council’s website, like that of other institutional websites, falls under Measure 2 ‘Improving the Citizens’ User Experience’ of the Digitisation Plan of the Public Administrations 2021-2025 and is financed through the Funds Next Generation-EU (Component 11 of the PRTR).
A simpler and clearer design
The Council’s new website offers a clearer and simpler design to improve the browsing experience, usability and accessibility, while being more visually consistent with the new corporate identity of the independent authority adopted in 2024. The design responsive De la Web allows you to consult it optimally on any type of device.
As for the contents, the structure of the portal has been reorganized to allow the information to be more easily located and better reflect the two main areas of activity developed by the institution: the protection of the right of access to public information and the evaluation of compliance with the transparency law. These two areas come to have their own section in the main menu of the web.
Improvements are also introduced in some of the most visited sections of the web, such as the resolutions of claims regarding access to public information, in which a tabular display is incorporated according to the meaning of the resolution.
From the Council we will continue working to improve the content, comprehensibility and usability of the website in order to better serve the citizens. In this sense, one of the commitments included in the draft of the V Open Government Plan of Spain 2025-2029 is the incorporation of a search engine that facilitates the location of resolutions, an element that, when implemented, will undoubtedly result in the usefulness of the page for users.
