A citizen filed an application for access with the RTVE Corporation for information on the salaries charged by management and other senior RTVE positions.
The RTVE Corporation provided partial information, indicating only the expense in salary for each year and each position, but without indicating the person who charges it, claiming protection of personal data.
The Council of Transparency and Good Governance considered the complaint, since the data protection limit does not apply to the present case, since according to the interpretative criterion 1/2015, the information on the gross annual remuneration received by the management of the RTVE Corporation must be provided, with identification of the recipient, the verbatim of the post of the organization chart and its remuneration actually received for all the staff who have occupied a position of management and sub-management in this period. Likewise, it is pointed out that this information must be provided in annual computation and in full terms, without including deductions or disaggregation of remuneration concepts.
