SUMMARY

A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Spanish Radio Television Corporation (CRTVE) to know the contracts between this Corporation and the entity Video Mercury Films, the list of films purchased and the reports that support the operation.

The CRTVE did not provide all the information on the understanding that the request is abusive, affects data protection and may endanger your economic and commercial interests and those of third parties.

The Council of Transparency and Good Governance made a complaint on the part of the citizen, considering that the contracts signed by the Corporation, which are financed by the State budget, must be known to the public, with no harm to its commercial interests or those of third parties. It also does not affect the personal data of any natural person. On the other hand, there is no certainty of the existence of the requested reports, a circumstance that must be confirmed by the CRTVE.
