119. Calls, minutes and agenda for meetings of the Board of Directors of RTVE
SUMMARY
A journalist submitted a request for access to information addressed to the RTVE Corporation to see the calls, minutes and agendas of the meetings of its Board of Directors, since 2014.
The RTVE Corporation denied the information because it understood that the request affects confidentiality and secrecy in decision-making and that it is auxiliary or supportive information.
When the complaint was filed, the Council of Transparency and Good Government considered it, considering that the arguments of the RTVE Corporation were not applied, since it is not auxiliary information due to the very essence of its contents, since important decisions are made in that Body and because the confidentiality of meetings and deliberations that have already taken place and whose public knowledge serves to respond to the citizens, as established by the Law, cannot be prejudiced.
