A citizen submitted a request for access to information addressed to the Ministry of Justice to know the arguments and expenses of the Government in the filing of contentious appeals against the resolutions of the Council of Transparency and Good Government.
The Ministry denied the information on the grounds that the legal arguments are still in court and that the remedies do not involve any additional expense to the Government.
When a complaint was filed, the Council for Transparency and Good Governance partially considered it, since there are already 12 completed judicial proceedings, the grounds for which must be public, although those of the other ongoing proceedings must not be known for the time being. In terms of costs, procedural costs and expenditure in terms of personnel should be reported.
